Get the kids to the market for a whole lot of foodie fun
The July 2014 school holidays are nearly here and there is a whole lot of fun being organised for the younger ones at the Adelaide Central Market to keep them entertained and teach them a great deal about fresh food and fun cooking.
The market is always busy during the school holidays but here is the detail of what is actually planned. In some cases bookings are needed so plan ahead so as to not miss out.
Some activities have a small charge but others are FREE.
Little Market Chefs Tuesday 8 and 15 July for 5 - 8 year olds, starting at 10am, 12pm and 2pm. Thursdays 10 and 17 July for 9 - 13 year olds, starting 1am, 12pm and 2pm. All the produce used is fresh from the market stalls. For your money the kids get a chef hat, a mini market tour, tasting and recipe to take home. 8,10,11,15,17,18 July The trail is self guided and is back due to popular demand. Between 9am - 4pm. Aimed at teaching little foodies all about imported and local produce. The tour has ten pit stops. Each participant gets a bag and a map and samples items along the way.
All in all there is a whole lot of fun and some educational activities planned for children at the Adelaide Central Market these July holidays.
