Adelaide - the " City of Churches ". The phrase invokes an impression of Adelaideans being conservative, elegant, civilised and oh so very nice. Which we are, of course!

But Adelaide, as in many cities, has a dark and grisly underbelly.

Per capita, Adelaide has more serial killers than any other city in Australia. It's definitely very weird here sometimes!

Some of the not-so-recent weird and grisly murders are discussed on the .

We started the tour in the historic Adelaide Arcade , where there are many tales of murder and intrigue. There are more than a few ghosts who like to hang around in the arcade too - one of which has been famously captured on a security camera .

We left the Adelaide Arcade and headed west. Not quite the wild west, but perhaps the macabre west could be a good way to describe it? We heard of guns, drugs, thugs and thieves. We heard about the lives and crimes behind the facades of old Adelaide - our evil underbelly.

We heard of the bizarre antics of the residents ghosts in our oldest hotels and of the haunting in the tunnels below the main street of Adelaide. Lots of puzzling sightings reported and lots of remaining questions.

Our tour started at 6.30 and we finished at 9pm - it's such great value! If you are a visitor to our city, it's a brilliant way to get to know us - warts and all!

Adelaide CBD tours generally run every second Monday evening.
Book into this tour and then why not book into the Port Adelaide Ghost Crime tour as well? Both tours are extremely popular and quite often book out completely. Contact the organisers for more information.
