The Adelaide Cantata Band is presenting a performance series at Pilgrim Uniting Church. The concert date to put on your calendar is Friday 3 September, at 6:30pm. The Adelaide Cantata Band was formed in 2017 and presents the dramatic and emotionally rich music of J. S. Bach's cantatas in vibrant, authentic performances, both in concert and liturgy.



In this upcoming concert, the Adelaide Cantata Band are presenting Actus Tragicus. Featuring vocal soloists Suzanne Pederson, Emma Woehle, Richard Black and Alex Roose, and a stellar period-instrument ensemble. The concert will feature BWV 106 "God's own time is the very best time" ("Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit", also known as Actus Tragicus) and BWV 150 "Lord, I long for you" ("Nach dir, Herr, verlanget mich"), as well as a trio sonata by Telemann. BWV 150 will again be performed during Choral Worship at Pilgrim Uniting Church.
