What's the best way to spend a cold winter weekend? Copious amounts of beer and BBQ'd meats inside an old dairy shed, you say? I heartily agree! The Adelaide Beer and BBQ festival is coming to the Adelaide Showgrounds this July and looks to be a warming escape from the elements.
Run by people who clearly love South Australia's obsession with quality beer, the festival is held in the historic brick cattle pavilion and lawns over three days in July. A selection of South Aussie, Aussie and even international beers and ciders will be on offer to taste, some that will only be available to try at the festival!
The variety doesn't stop at the bevvies. BBQ is a huge umbrella that covers all manner of juicy deliciousness. You'll have Adelaide's favourite chefs and venues providing everything BBQ, flamed, aged, smoked and grilled from head to toe and land to sea. My mouth is already watering.
While your tastebuds are treated to a winter feast fit for a king, your ears will be experiencing a complimentary banquet of rock'n'roll, DJ, and electronic music. You'll be full to the brim of goodness.
With tickets available for 1 day or full weekend passes, you've got the option to spend as much time as you like in BBQ heaven. Adelaide is the festival state after all, why limit ourselves to the warmer months? I'll cheers to that.
