Produced and Directed by Matt Byrne, The Addams Family is a musical comedy based on characters created by Charles Addams. The show will take to the stage with Gordon Combes as Musical Director, Sue Pole as Choreographer with Design by Anthony Del Santo.
The show featuring music from Broadway composer Andrew Lippa will run from July 2-12 at The Arts Theatre and July 17-26 at Elizabeth's Shedley Theatre. The Show will feature all the bellowed characters from the ghoulish American family with a love for all things gruesome, but now with a new plot twist.
Wednesday Addams is now a young woman who finds herself in love and she demands her family spend one normal night entertaining her boyfriend Lucas's parents. This impossible wish is further complicated by a bunch of Addams Ancestors appearing, who can't return to the family crypt until Wednesday gets her wish.
Director Matt Byrne said "I grew up watching The Addams Family in the 60s and the musical captures all the kookiness and twisted, but loving, family values."
The Addams Family Musical will run at the Arts Theatre from July 2 to 5 and 8 to 12 at 8pm and July 5 and 12 at 2pm, and Elizabeth's Shedley Theatre from July 17 to 19 and 24 to 26 at 8pm and July 19 and 26 at 2pm.
This show is not to be missed. It will be creepy and kooky, and Mysterious and spooky, and all together ooky, The Addams Family live on stage this July.
