Following the success of Sprout Fest 2015, this year's event promises to be even bigger and better. Being held at Adams Farms in Coldstream on Sunday 26th March this farm-based experience is one the entire family will enjoy.
Have you ever seen over 100 acres of sprout bushes? To be honest, I didn't even know what a sprout bush looked like. Now this and all your other questions about brussel sprouts will be answered – but you don't have to love brussel sprouts to enjoy the Sprout Festival at Adams Farms.
With so much to see and do, the Sprout Fest is the perfect family day out and Coldstream is the ideal city escape. Located just outside of Lilydale, inhale deeply the fresh country air as you browse over forty market stalls turning out especially for this event. The market will feature fresh products and produce from the ever-bountiful, always popular Yarra Valley, in addition to live cooking demonstrations. Pick up a few tricks and tips from the growers and experts and take home something extra special for dinner.
Kids will enjoy a taste of country life with pony rides and a petting zoo on offer. Plus there'll be tractor tours running all day long. Then see the farm from new heights by taking a bounce or two on the jumping castle.
New to the Sprout Fest this year is the Scarecrow Competition. Local schools will be participating for the top honour as well as cash prizes so be sure and check them out.
Sprout Fest 2017 is being held on Sunday 26th March from 10am to 4pm at Adams Farms, 681 Maroondah Highway, Coldstream.
