Barbecue? Picnic? Frisbee on the beach? Time to do something a little bit different for Australia Day this year...

Riverlife has just what you're looking for - and a wide variety of activities suitable for all ages.

If you're a bit of a water baby, why not a day of kayaking? Whether your a first-timer or an experienced paddler, you can see Queensland's beautiful river city from a unique angle as you glide along the meandering Brisbane River.

Kayak hire for one and a half hours is $25 per person and with 60 kayaks available, you can either book ahead or just turn up on the day.

If abseiling is more your thing, your Australia Day can be spent hanging off the rocks for only $39 a head. Why not climb UP the rocks as well for only $49 per person and make it a real work out.

Of course, Riverlife has also catered for those looking for the whole package in one easy booking. For only $79 per person (day time activities) or $89 per person (evening/early morning activities) you can choose any adventure activity plus an Aussie BBQ (hey, can't completely forget tradition) plus drinks and lamingtons.

You can choose your own adventure with a 2 hour private session of either day or night kayaking, abseiling, rock climbing, mountain biking or rollerblading. There is a minimum requirement of 12 people and all sessions are guided by experienced instructors happy to cater to individual needs.

The barbecue is truly Australian and made to re-fuel you after all your adventurous activities with brunch on the riverside deck - spectacular views of the river, city and gardens included. The menu includes creamy scrambled eggs with chives, crispy bacon rashers, pork & parsley chipolatas, hash browns, grilled roma tomatoes, tea, coffee & juice. Angus burgers for those with a serious appetite along with seasoned chicken skewers, pork sausages, beer braised onions, pineapple rings and, of course, traditional Australian lamingtons will also be available to satiate your palate.

There is also a beverage package available for $22.50pp (2 hours) including Australian beer and wine, service of alcohol, glassware and bar setup / pack down.

So, there's no excuse to sit around on Australia Day with Riverlife providing all the entertainment and activities you could possibly be after.
