Live Music in the Park
The other evening I took the kids out for a play at the Sydney Park Playground as the sun was heading down. Live music was wafting over the air, making the whole exercise painfree and quite civilized for me.
Before leaving, we headed over to investigate, and it was a lone musician.
Sydney Park Kiosk organise regular performances by bands and musicians, so people can make an event of their trip to the park and enjoy more than just the food and coffee at the cafe.
It was a great way to finish the day and had we known, we would have come earlier, and with cash, for a drink at the Kiosk.
The posters were up around the park, so regulars can be forewarned but further investigation on the website implies this is actually a regular occurrence.
[ADVERT]In their ongoing events they list the following: 1st Friday of the month: Acoustic performance space 2nd Sunday of the month: Dub in the park Saturday mornings: 10am Council run dog training. Walk the dog and get some a free doggie advice.
It is a really lovely way to entertain the kids while still getting enjoyment for yourself, so I know where we'll be on the second Sunday of the month.
With the music still playing, we headed home contentedly into the sunset.
