Maisey is regarded as New Zealand's manu tioriori (song bird) - "Maisey has a sweet beckoning voice, singing in both her native Te Reo Māori and English, her sounds and lyrics inspire the wairua (spirit) of our people. We are so blessed that she is to grace our show with her awesome talents." (organiser: Joy Vercoe, of Arahi Events.)
