Are you looking for a fun day out on the water in Adelaide? Join Adelaide Combined Dragonboat Club (ACDC) and take advantage of this special opportunity to paddle down the River Torrens in a dragon boat for FREE.
Held in partnership with the City of Adelaide and suitable for ages 10 and up, Dragon Boat Racing is an exciting way to get in shape and take your fitness regime to a whole new level.
Ideal for singles, friends, families, teammates, workmates and community groups, the 'Come and Try sessions' will be held on selected Fridays and Saturdays in October and delivered by professional coaching staff.
Upon arrival, you will be informed of safety procedures, the basic techniques, and introduced to the committee and other club members, to ensure you are made welcome.
All required equipment will be provided including a life vest and training paddle - all you need to bring is a set of clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting wet, plus a hat, sunscreen, drinking water and a sense of fun!
Enjoy the spring sunshine and spend the day on the river with the friendly dynamic team from ACDC. Dragon boating is an accessible and spirited team-oriented activity which is great for all skill levels.
And while ACDC is active in competitions run by the South Australian Association DragonBoat SA, dragon boat racing is not all about competition, rather for club members it's just as important to have a friendly and enjoyable environment.
Come and discover the sport for yourself and experience its many health and social benefits with the ACDC crew.
All 'Come and Try Sessions' are free of charge and run in support of R U OK month. Check out the upcoming sessions times below:
