I'm seriously in trouble... there's only two weeks to go until the 86th Academy Awards (the Oscars 2014) are presented and I've only seen one contender!

I couldn't go past Dallas Buyers Club and with its superb script, precise direction and outstanding performances from Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto it didn't disappoint.

Following is the list of Oscar 2014 contenders for Best Picture

American Hustle
Starring: Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Lawrence





Captain Phillips
Starring: Tom Hanks, Catherine Keener, Barkhad Abdi, Barkhad Abdirahman, Faysal Ahmed and Mahat M. Ali





Dallas Buyers Club
Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto and Jennifer Garner




Gravity
Starring: Sandra Bullock, George Clooney and Ed Harris

These are all great movies with talented casts but there's only one winner - which will it be?

I haven't watched any of these films, but I suspect that 12 Years a Slave or possibly Gravity will win it.
