Swimming pool with water park
If you're looking for water park features without the hefty entry fees and crowds, you simply must visit Acacia Ridge Leisure Centre. In particular, their outdoor area has been carefully designed with families in mind. It features a lagoon pool with aquatic play equipment, a fully fenced toddler play pool, multiple picnic tables and wide-open grassy areas.
The lagoon is suitable for family members of all ages and abilities. The shallow end of the pool is roped off to provide separation between younger children and more capable swimmers. It offers beach-style entry, various water spouts, sprinklers and a tipping bucket. This section is well shaded by material sails.
Within the deeper end, diving is permissible. There is sufficient space to accommodate several groups of swimmers or people relaxing on small personal inflatables.
A rock-climbing wall is operational 12-3pm daily. Visitors can challenge themselves, or others, to reach the top and jump into the water (the rock climbing wall is positioned against the edge of the pool, so that unsuccessful climbers simply fall into the water).
The toddler pool is very shallow and incorporates a small slide. Shade sails are also provided over a large portion of the pool. Please note that both the lagoon and toddler pool are only open during the warmer months. Opening dates are posted in advance to the pool's social media platforms
Inside the leisure centre, a heated 25m pool provides opportunities for swimming lessons, lap swimming and wading on a shallow ramp.
The kiosk offers very limited food items, mainly drinks and ice blocks. If you are planning an extended swim, I would recommend bringing a packed lunch and enjoying a picnic outside.
