Sally Poole, a Western Australia contemporary artist is presenting her first solo exhibition at Collie Art Gallery. The Collie-based
artist has developed her own distinctive style with vivid colours and shapes. Most of her artworks are acrylic on canvas. Part proceeds will go to Collie Senior High School's Gallipoli tour and Beyond Blue.
The vernissage will take place this Friday from 6pm to 8pm. The exhibition will open from 9 April to 8 May 2016, Thursday to Monday from 11am to 5pm.

Her brush with art started 15 years ago, not long after she miraculously survived a car accident. She then enrolled herself at Collie TAFE. For her first painting, she received the Griffin Art Award. For her, painting rhythmic forms and repetitive images are relaxing and meditative. It is her own art therapy.
