A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting Abu Dhabi and I can honestly say it was one of the greatest
(and hottest) places I have ever visited!
Although the whole holiday was great, I thought I would pick out one particular day which left me in complete awe - The Abu Dhabi Desert Safari.
So we were first picked up from our hotel in a huge 4x4 and driven to the middle of the desert.
We stopped off to wait for more people to arrive, and by this time, me being me, had already examined the size of these sand dunes that we will be hurtling over at 49384309 an hour!
1. Dune Bashing
Where do I start? It is one of the greatest adrenaline experiences. In a 10 car convoy, we collided against the sand and rode up and down the sand dunes. We stopped off whilst the cars cooled down and this was the view - sunset in a desert, in Abu Dhabi.
Okay right now I have serious holiday blues.

No filter!
2. Desert Safari Base Camp
After an hour of dune bashing, we arrived at the base camp in the desert. It was absolutely beautiful. I can't even describe how perfect it was!
The lovely team made it so welcoming, with Camel and Buggy Rides out the front, Henna Tattoos, Shisha, Cultural Dress Up, BBQ, and Belly Dancing inside the camp - we were really treated!

Abu Dhabi Base Camp
Throughout the evening we were able to make our way through the camp, and try out the different stands. It was such a relaxed environment and was a great opportunity to speak to people of different cultures and countries. My boyfriend and I rode on a camel, went buggy riding and ate lots of food (I mean, it was free!)
Please enjoy this picture of me on a camel ... fearing for my life!

I was enjoying it - promise!
3. Star Gazing
At the end of the evening, the staff told us they would be turning off every light, so we could star gaze. 3 weeks ago I was star gazing in the desert in Abu Dhabi and riding camels.
Now I'm sitting on my bed freezing cold. Oh, how I love reality.
