Abstract Fields now showing at Gallery 1855
Abstract Fields, Cathy Frawely's latest offering, is a strong representation of her experience and fondness of working with landscapes. She utilises her skill with oil on canvas and the results are an explosion of colour and shapes which is both thought-provoking and interesting.
The paintings are not specific in their location but are an interpretation of the artist's love of landscape through memory and imagination. The strong bold block colours represent different elements of nature, the sea or urban surroundings. It is up to you to interpret each unique piece as you desire, with a select few making their mark on my wishlist, specifically article no.15.
As quoted on the artist's bio, "These works are optimistic with an intended positive emotional affect, offering respite from the more challenging aspects of life." Make sure you devote time to take the pleasurable drive to Gallery 1855, settled in the beautiful surroundings of leafy Tea Tree Gully. This small, quaint gallery perfectly complements this exhibition, where your mind wonders and delights over the stunning pieces by Cathy Frawley. The exhibition dates are limited so be quick to ensure you don't miss out. For more information on this insightful artist please visit: Central Studios
