Event: -
This September, Australia will see the UK trio Above & Beyond in a run of special solo shows, presenting their hugely-anticipated album Group Therapy.

With a four hour set of uplifting, jaw-dropping anthem-like trance, it's no wonder Australian trance fans are buzzing with excitement. Their take on music is completely different to any other producer in the trance scene and whether some would call it trance is arguable, however their style has helped influence and builds the trance scene as a whole.

Together with their hugely successful Anjunabeats label, the collective DJ and production trio have helped bridge the scene of trance and house genres. The success of the Anjunabeats label is a testament to the growth of the trio as a group.

Originating from the UK the trio, Jono Grant, Paavo Siljamaki and Tony McGuiness are arguably the most influential electronic acts in the world. With fan counts in the millions, a new essential mix on the hugely popular Radio 1 presented by Pete Tong, and an epic finish to a mammoth tour across 35 cities in North America, the Australian tour will be without a doubt one of the most iconic tours in the trance community.

Their new album Group Therapy was brought together much like their previous album Tri State, released in 2006. Bringing together an array of different personal experiences, the album is close to what some might call a masterpiece. Essentially the album is a piece of work reflective of their success as producers, but on the other hand it is 15 different feelings and experiences captured and embodied in the medium of house-like grooves with epic hands-in-the-air trance melodies.

With Zoe Johnston and Richard Bedford on vocals, the album is a testament to the effort, thought, and most importantly the emotion put into each track. The hugely epic Sun & Moon with Bedford on vocals is already on the horizon as one of the most influential tracks this year. With a house groove that shakes the dance floor, a leading synth that raises the hands in the room, and lyrics that are yelled out like a choir of ravers, it's no wonder Australian trance fans are eager for the 4 hour set from the UK trio.

Joining the trio on stage will be Australia's very own Canberra raised Jaytech and the innovative Mat Zo on warm-up duties. Also signed to the groups Anjunabeats and sister label Anjunadeep, Jaytech and Mat Zo will surely sprout interest in the night.

So why will this tour be any different to their other Australian shows? The Group Therapy tour, unlike their usual festival surroundings, will present to Australian shores a show produced completely by the trio. The visual and lighting experience will offer ravers a whole new experience to the usual outdoor festival environment, and with a new experience often comes new memories. Australian fans can be sure to leave the venue with smiles on their faces with tracks like Sun & Moon, and A Thing Called Love, amongst other jaw-dropping records.
