Rozelle is also known as the organic hub of Sydney, and therefore it makes sense to have an organic supermarket in this area. About Life Rozelle serves a variety of different organic and gluten free foods from yoghurt, pizzas, meat, cereals, fruit and muesli to name a few. The surprising thing about the About Life experience is that, although the food is a little more expensive than your Coles and Woolworths; the service is sensational and the food fills you up.

Equally as popular is their cafe, of which I am going to focus this article on. Although the service at the cafe area can be a little hit and miss - thankfully the food isn't. There is absolutely no guilt in enjoying a muffin or some dessert dish on a sunny afternoon. Although the muffins may appear to be tasteless at first, at least they fill the spot. This was the case with my berry muffin ($3) a few weeks ago. The berry pieces are juicy, delicious and utterly fresh. The ambience outside isn't overly pleasant, yet the plants shine out in abundance. While the indoor seating area is trendier, it's noisier too.

On this occasion I chilled out at this cafe, I got to enjoy some free Wi-Fi. Fast Internet connection is enjoyed, and that community, laid back Rozelle feeling on a Thursday or Friday afternoon is also enjoyed. Even better, in the sun too. Organic soy lattes and fair trade coffee is also available here.

It was only around this time that I enjoyed a small juice ($2.90) from the cafes hydration bar as you enter the store. Even though the cup appears to be small at first glance, however upon taking a sip of heaven from any of these juices you feel cleansed and energised inside. There are three different juices and three different sizes of cups available from their hydration station. On this occasion, the supergreen lemonade made way for a ying and yang experience with my gluten free blueberry muffin. I only had a small serving, yet the tangy taste and refreshing coolness made way for a satisfying juice experience. This might be when you might begin to think twice about buying bottled juices ever again.

On another occasion, I also tried the cool ginger chia. The ginger also felt quite detoxing and cleansing. I am yet to try the pink goji lemonade, although that super juice from is next on my list of juices to drink.

If you're in the mood for a healthier cafe experience, then pay a visit to Rozelle and you might be as surprised as any foodie was, including yours truly.
