I'm a grandmother, a retired teacher, an avid reader who loves historical re-enactment, English Country Dance, writing and Op Shopping. My business www.StepIntoHistory.com.au is designed to help children experience history through school incursions.
A friend of mine had visited this shop and left her knitting behind so I offered to go and pick it up. Well here is karma in action. I was rewarded for my good deed by discovering the most amazing shop. They sell organic wine and spirits.
They also have a cafe and a stock of every healthy product you ever wanted.
Set in a huge warehouse space it is light and airy and spacious. Owners, Steve and Jodi have decorated with flair in recycled style. A lot of thought has obviously gone into providing for all areas of life. Jodie mentioned that they had a few surprises in what was popular - often not what they had expected.
So what can you get apart from fabulous food and coffee? Did I mention organic wine and spirits?
Let's start with the food. At the moment I am on one of the painful 'Cut out everything to see what you're sensitive to diets' - no lactose, no soy, no food really. When I explained this the server took time to go through the display case with me and we decided on vegan banana bread. Dear God. Fresh out of the oven, it was without doubt the BEST banana bread I have ever eaten. The coffee was also amazing. She managed to get a really good foam on almond milk mocha.
I browsed the shelves of all manner of groceries - grains, milks, nut butters, pasta, teas, sauces, shampoo, even nail polish.
There were also beautiful displays of soy candles, essential oils and skin care, everything you could need including a range of organic, preservative-free, vegan and bio-dynamic wine, cider, beer and spirits.
