One of the programs held during the summer school holidays by Botanic Gardens of South Australia, the session at Wittunga Botanic Garden on 9 January 2020 will give kids the opportunity to learn about how Aboriginal people use plants in their daily lives. Additional sessions will be held on 13 January 2020 and 23 January 2020 at Adelaide Botanic Garden for those unable to make it to the first one.

Conducted by indigenous story teller and guide Trent, kids will be shown plants that were traditionally used by Aboriginal people. They will also learn how the seasons and their surroundings influence their daily lives.

If your kid is interested, click here for the link to book a place for the program. All kids must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. However, only the child needs a ticket. Participants have to be present 10 minutes before the event starts to check in.
