Be you a knight in shining armour or a damsel in distress you are sure to enjoy The Jousting Spectacular being held at the Queensland State Equestrian Centre on Saturday 15th November. What better way is there to escape the hustle and bustle of the G20 Summit than by experiencing Australian and International jousters competing for honour in a Moreton Bay Medieval adventure? The arena show is being presented by the Our Village Foundation and the Abbey Museum and is the first time such an event has taken place in Australia.
Join in the wedding reception of the century when two conflicting medieval dynasties are forced to celebrate the marriage of their heirs. The Della Rossa and von Blau houses come together in true Medieval style.
Patrons of this exciting event will bear witness to night-time Medieval Jousting, as well as a foot tournament from the best of the Della Rossa and von Blau armies. Jugglers, fire twirlers and jesters will be on hand to regale the audience with their talents before, during and after the main production.
Cheer for your champion as you dine on Medieval food and beverages which will be available for purchase throughout the entire event, and as it is a licensed venue, drink to the health of the bride and groom as you are entertained by the haunting and lyrical sounds of singers and musicians alike.
Gates open at 5:30pm when food, beverages and pre show entertainment will be on offer, with the main event taking place from 7pm. It is recommended that people pre purchase tickets to the spectacular as seating is limited and as this is the first time an event of this magnitude has taken place there is a very strong chance that tickets will sell out prior to the event. To purchase tickets on line please visit the QSEC's ticketing platform at www.qsec.com.au/Buy-Tickets. Tickets are also available at the QSEC box office or by calling the venue during business hours on 5433 3222.
