This Saturday and Sunday saw our family oohing, aahing and having a wonderful time at the Abbey Medieval Festival, just off the highway near Bribie Island.

The whole festival was magic -- from the medieval music and dancing to the thundering hooves of the joust and the swish of swords in the arena.

One of the most fascinating parts of the festival was the falconry display. I've posted a separate picture of Sir Justyn and his eagle. Here I caught a snap of the lovely lady who worked with him (sorry, I don't know her name) and this striking barn owl.
