Get set for an ABBA-solutely fun night out!

Calling all Dancing Queens, Fernandos and Chiquititas! Here's a show to make you exclaim, "Mamma Mia!"

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of ABBA's tour of Australia, Brisbane's king of all things cult Kristian Fletcher, will be presenting ABBA in Australia at the New Globe Theatre.

On March 3rd, the same date ABBA embarked on arguably the biggest tour Australians had seen since the Beatles, head on down to Fortitude Valley for a brilliant ABBA themed event. ABBA The Movie will screen from 7pm, followed by a chance to boogie to your favourite ABBA music videos on the big screen. You can even dress up as your favourite member of the famous quartet - Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, or Anni-Frid Lyngstad.

Aussies love ABBA to this day.

The ABBA in Australia film that will show at the special 40th anniversary event, focusses on an Australian DJ trying to get an interview with the band. The event organiser Kristian Fletcher writes, "ABBA The Movie features stunning live performances by the group, with classic hits such as Dancing Queen, Money Money Money and Thank You for the Music."

"Lasse Hallström compiled this documentary from hours of footage filmed during ABBA's 1977 Australian tour."

It was 1977, only three years after their Eurovision Song Contest win, when Australia went ABBA-mad during their hotly anticipated tour down under. The group, originally from Stockholm, were one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of pop music. Their songs could regularly be found gracing the top of the charts here and abroad.
