Event:
Learn to craft on-trend geometric beaded jewellery
You don't need to visit your local handmade market to know that geometric beads are still very much in vogue. Colourful three-dimensional hexagons can be seen adorning the ears and necklines of Melburnian women from Fitzroy to Frankston and everywhere in-between.

You could quite easily buy yourself an on-trend geometric jewellery piece from any aforementioned craft market, or you could learn to make your own in Colour Box Studio's next Aacute Polymer Clay Jewellery Making Workshop.

The three-hour jewellery making workshop, facilitated by Aacute; a sister designer duo, will take place on Saturday 25 July, at their new Yarraville studio location in Campbell Street.

The Aacute sisters, Julie and Kelly Tran, focus their work on polymer clay jewellery and soy woodwick candles. They frequent craft markets all over Melbourne, and also collaborate with the Colour Box Studio to host regular hands-on craft workshops.

In the next Aacute Polymer Clay Jewellery Making Workshop, geometric and marbling aesthetics will be taught.

What you will learn:

cutting methods on how to facet;
the techniques involved with assembling jewellery;
colour mixing and marbling;
glazing and oven baking your beads.

What you will take home:

the materials with what you can make a necklace or two, and a pair of earrings;
• a little gift bag;
• an instruction sheet for you make jewellery in the future;
• tea, coffee and biscuits.
