Don't forget to look out for dinosaurs
Parkinson's WA celebrate their 30th anniversary this year, and to mark this occasion, their Walk in the Park event will be it's biggest and best event yet.

Walk in the Park 2014
Put your best foot forward

Perhaps one of the most family friendly charity walks in Perth that even incorporates a dinosaur hunt, this is one event that you need to mark up on your calendar now.

There's a 2km and 5km walking route, with the longer route providing great entertainment for the young (and young at heart) who can take their time on the walk spotting dinosaurs to hopefully nab some prizes too. The fun filled atmosphere is further added to by a thumping soundtrack provided by DJ's and drummers. Once your walk is completed, the fun doesn't end there. Stay and enjoy carnival food and drink as well as a free entertainment. Kids will enjoy seeing the Scitech show or perhaps they'd like to visit the animals provided by West Oz Wildlife. There will also be stallholders, including local craft vendors and also The Running Centre. This is going to be a wonderful day out for any family, with funds raised going towards supporting to the work of Parkinson's WA.

Walk in the Park 2014

Every hour of every day, someone is diagnosed with Parkinson's in Australia. Parkinson's WA endeavours to offer support to those affected by the diseases through specialist nurses, support groups, information and education. The organisation also funds research with the aim of improving the current state of knowledge about the condition. It is hoped that such research will lead to improvements in treatment options and the quality of life of those affected. By taking part in A Walk in the Park, you are helping to raise much needed funds to continue to support this work.
