If you are 50 years old and older, you are invited to join the
June Walking Challenge with
Wellbeing SA and you might win a prize! What you need to do is take an easy walk, 30 minutes a day or more on most days of the week. This is an easy way to be active and provide a break from the rush of daily life. You need to
attend at least 3 events to be in the draw for great prizes.
For the first session, please meet at
Meeting Room 1, Campbelltown Public Library, 171 Montacute Road Newton, on Thursday, 1 June 2023, starting from 1 pm to 2 pm. During this session, an
instructor from the ARC will discuss fitness and this will allow you an opportunity to start tracking your steps with a 20-minute walk.
The second session will be held on
Tuesday, 6 June 2023, starting from 9 am to 10 am at Thorndon Park. Please meet inside the front gate for a guided walk with Wally from the council and learn about the design decisions and challenges that were faced while rejuvenating this great park.
