Walk on the Old Side
I enjoy a walk around any town - windowshoping, exploring. This time it was Laidley, I started at one end of the main street with morning coffee at Das Neumann Haus. I wished I had the capacity to try the food at several other venues in the town, but there is a limit to what one can consume in an hour.

Looking at the old buildings in the main street brings back memories. I love visiting old Australian towns; it reminds me of my childhood. The old hotels, still in operation, and the old shop, and other buildings all proudly remind us of the town's history.

There are quite a few interesting shops, and if I had had capacity for more food and drink I would have tried them all out.

Two popular spots, are Three Sons Café, which has fantastic reviews. I love the look inside this café. It's very modern, and it does get highly rated.

The other place was the Eagle Rock Café where I just love the décor. This is also highly rated for its coffee, food and service.

It is a two hour drive from my home so I won't be a regular visitor, but I sure will try them when I pass by again.

Laidley is well worth a visit.
