Fashion has been celebrated over the years, the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) will be visiting Ballarat on 10 March at the Gold Museum with A Victoria Silhouette Fashion Event.

As part of VAMFF's Cultural Program, Sovereign Hill's Costume Department will present an evening when visitors get to understand fashion in the 1850's and the gold rush period.

A range of fashion from this era will be showcased during the evening including a wedding dress.

Since fashion has changed since the 1850's there will be a focus on etiquette and social structures from this time.
