I nearly fell over when I discovered this little gem. It's called 'A Touch of The Past' and can be found in Reserve Street, Pomona.

An affordable & delightful cafe
Gay, the proprietor explained that she came to Pomona one day on an 'off chance' and simply fell in love with the calming feel of the little town. Noticing a vacant shop, she seized the day and started an antique shop. When the shops either side of her became available Gay decided to combine the lot, selling jewellery, hand made items, teddy bears, beautiful quilted throw rugs, pure cotton nighties and much much more. In fact, there's something for everyone.

something for everyone
Every morning from 4am, Gay begins preparing her home made sandwiches, quiches, salads, gluten free cakes, and of course, tea and coffee. "People tell me it's just like sitting down at Nanna's table". And she's right. This coffee shop is a walk in the past. With its open feel, its relaxing and interesting, and the best bit – it's extremely affordable for families to enjoy a Sunday lunch that won't break the bank.

Fresh Sandwiches for $4!!
Even though I wasn't hungry her freshly made sandwiches beckoned me and for $4.00 a mixed round they were simply delectable. Gay told me 'a fellow came in this morning and bought 6 rounds for his kids to take to school'. Smart chap.
This 'Touch of the Past' antique and coffee shop is open 7 days from 6.30 am until 5pm. Enjoy.
