A Taste of Spring BBQ Series is happening every weekend till 20 October 2024 at 11am, 12pm and 1pm (with special times on 28 Sep) at Prahran Market, Market Square, 163 Commercial Road, South Yarra. Whether you're a seasoned grill master or just starting out, this series has something for everyone. Smoking hot live demos, tastings, and expert tips will take your BBQ game to the next level. From seafood to steaks, budget-friendly bites to beer-infused delights, they’ve got all the ingredients for an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss out on this chance to perfect your grilling skills and impress your guests at your next backyard BBQ! The following is the remainder of the schedule.

28-29 Sep - Budget BBQing. Please note the earlier time slots on Grand Final Day: 10am, 11am, 12pm. This is a day for tasty bites that are budget-friendly. Learn how to create on a budget without compromising on flavour.

5-6 Oct - Craft Beer BBQing. Discover the magic of BBQing a whole chicken on a beer can and learn how to use beer to flame your flavour. It’s a match made in BBQ heaven.

12-13 Oct - Another Corn on the Barbie. Bring a fresh twist to your BBQ with fire-friendly fruits and vegetable in this unique demo.

19-20 Oct - Crowd Pleasers. Bring your BBQ A-game! Share what you want to master, and the experts will guide you to success. This interactive session is all about crowd-pleasing dishes that will make you the star of your next BBQ.

A Taste of Spring at Prahran Market does not just relate to the BBQ series. Until 30 Nov 2024 a series of events and experiences will be on offer - A taste of spring Market Trail (now till 30 Sep); taste of spring BBQ Series (now till 20 Oct) as mentioned above; taste of spring Picnic Trail (1-30 Nov); and weekly live entertainment and spring themed events and workshops for adults and kids. Find all details here . The market trail is a gourmet trail that takes you on a curated tour to sample bite-sized delights. A free-range taster will act as a friendly guide, spruiking and showcasing sweet and savoury morsels from more than 30 participating vendors. The Spring Picnic Trail in November will showcase a smorgasbord hamper from Prahran Market traders, perfect for sharing. Patrons can pick up their picnic-themed box and gourmet checklist at participating traders.

Visitors who post their Taste of Spring Market Trail experiences on Instagram, tagging @prahranmarket, will be added to a draw to win one of 3 gift boxes of Spring Bounty in early October. Discounts and freebies will be up for grabs for those who post their best ‘picnic pics’ and tag @prahranmarket for the Taste of Spring Picnic Trail. Amidst the grand final weekend, the Market is running a Bonsai Workshop on Sunday 29 September 2024 with the Kokedama Workshop at 11am and the Bonsai workshop at 1.30pm.
