A mum of three, engineer, scientist, educator, and all around dabbler, I'm far better at finding interesting things to do than I am at doing housework.

Celebrate diversity the tasty way
In the week of March 17th-23rd, workplaces all over Australia will be celebrating diversity by taking part in A Taste of Harmony. Joining in is free, and it's as easy as cooking a meal or snack!

All you have to do is register your workplace on the Taste of Harmony website. Choose a date and time for your event - be it lunch, morning or afternoon tea, or even after work drinks and nibbles. Now it's time to encourage your workmates to take part. Fortunately, the website has lots of promotional tools you can use...everything from customisable posters to newsletter articles and videos.

Tapas
Or some tapas?
On the chosen day, just bring along your dish to share. Ideally, choose a dish from your own cultural background to share with your workmates.

vine leaves
Some stuffed vine leaves to start?
However, if your workplace is sadly lacking in cultural diversity, here's a list of recipe ideas that will add some interest to the menu! Why not have each participant choose a different country to adopt for the day?

curried shrimp
Curried Shrimp to Follow?
Now all that's left to do is to tuck in and enjoy your multicultural feast!
