French foods (especially desserts) have always been a favourite of mine. There may not be many French restaurants on the Coast, but on the 1st September 2016, you can explore rich and decadent French cooking when you join Peter Kuruvita's Taste of France and indulge in a 5-course degustation dinner which includes a glass of Cristal champagne on arrival.
The event is hosted by Peter Kuruvita, and promises to be a magnificent culinary journey through France, examining French traditions and cooking techniques. A French wine package is also available on the evening.
The First Course: Game and Truffle Consume.
The Second Course: Whiting Quenelles, Lobster Bisque,
Pork & Black Pudding Croquette, Scallop, Cauliflower, Apple.
The Third Course: Gympie Red Claw, Asparagus and Pernod Sabayon, Duck and Foie Gras Terrine, Rye Bread, Cornichons, Mustard.
The Fourth Course: Roast Duck, Peach, Barberry Yoghurt,
Seafood Bouillabaisse, Sauce Rouille, Broad Beans.
The Fifth Course: Frangipane Tart, White Peach, Puffed Grains,
Chocolate Torte, Peanut Brittle, and Cookie Dough Ice Cream.
