Event:
Make sure you attend one of these dates in Broome
It was recently announced that airfares from Perth to Broome would go down considerably. This is an attempt to get more people to go to Broome instead of overseas to places like Bali. With this in mind, it is now far cheaper to get to Broome and attend any of their great events.

Broome is a lovely, tropical climate which has long sandy beaches, and plenty to see and do if you want to spend a bit of time here. It is a multicultural community and there are many different places you can stay at during your stay.

This year's A Taste of Broome (ATOB) will celebrate the history of Broome and its people. This, in turn, will cement its place as one of the highlights of the Broome tourism calendar for a sixth year in a row.

The event will be on 12th July, 2018 and it will be on monthly. It will be held at the Goolarri Amphitheatre, 7 Blackman Street, Broome.

In this year, the main music and picture show will focus on the fusion of Asian and Aboriginal cultures. It will also acknowledge the following:

The community impact of World War II
The pearling industry
The stolen generation
The 1967 referendum
Tourism
The past 40 years of the Kimberley Land Council

The NAIDOC theme for 2018 is "because of her we can", and in Broome, they will introduce some amazing young and upcoming local musical talent into the show.

You will be able to hear the stories and experience the sentimental and emotion-filled journey of Broome's vast history. This will be re-enacted via local live music, traditional and contemporary dance.

A Taste of Broome has been described as a unique music picture show with great food tastes. This will all be centred around the distinctive Indigenous culture within Broome's multicultural community. You can learn the history of Broome through the songs, stories, pictures and people.

A Taste of Broome "promotes the vibrant soul that makes up the essence of Broome's identity". Here, you will be given the opportunity to experience the following:

Music
Media
Dance
Food
Arts and crafts
Tradition and heritage

The doors will open at 5:30 pm, and the event will begin at 6:30 pm. Please note there are NO gluten-free food options available at this event.

The entry cost for the event is between $35 and $70 and you can book your tickets at this site.

You can also get VIP Tickets for $70 (plus booking fee). With these tickets, you will have the full sensory experience of A Taste of Broome. You will have the best seats in the house, and a delicious tasting platter to sample the flavours of Broome.

You can also telephone: 8 9195 5333 for more information.
