A Romance of Writers features writers Fiona Palmer, Rachel Johns and Anthea Hodgson, and this event is to celebrate Library Lover's Day with a romance of writers.

These are three best-selling Australian authors who will share their stories about life, love and literature.

This will be from rural romance through to classic Mills and Boon, and the three authors will be there to make this an enjoyable evening.

* About Fiona Palmer
Fiona was raised in Pingaring and the majority of her weekends as a child were spent on a relative's farm. Fiona went on to do several odd jobs, roustabouting, tractor driving and working on the CBH bins, where she later met her husband.

She then did a secretarial course which was very handy once she started writing as she could type fast! While Fiona was running a local shop in Pingaring in 2006, she began writing down a story that was spinning around in her head, and this became the start of her writing career. The title of her first book was The Family Farm.

* About Rachel Johns
Rachael Johns is an English teacher, a 24/7 mother, a chronic arachnophobic, a podcast junkie and a writer the rest of the time. Rachel is a lover of romance and women's fiction and enjoys sitting in bed with her laptop and imagining her own stories.

In 2016 her novel, The Patterson Girls, was named General Fiction Book of the Year at the Australian Book Industry Awards. Rachael has also been a finalist in several other competitions, including the Australian Romance Readers Awards.

Her novel, Jilted, won Favourite Australian Contemporary Romance for 2012, and Rachel was voted in the Top Ten of Booktopia's Favourite Australian Authors poll in 2013.

Rachel then joined Romance Writers of Australia, where she learnt about craft, conflict and consistent characters, and here she also realised that she loved romance, and decided that was what she wanted to write about.

Rachel then found a publisher who offered her a contract and her first book was published in 2011. She has now written urban romances for Carina Press, a cowboy romance for Tule Publishing, and a lot of rural romances for Harlequin Australia, as well as women's fiction for USA publishers.

* About Anthea Hodgson
Anthea has written two books: The Drifter, her first book and The Cowgirl. Anthea is originally from the WA Wheatbelt. Before writing, Anthea worked as a radio producer, and she now has a book contract with Penguin Random House.
