In A Pirate Cookbook: Simple Recipes For Kids, by Sarah L. Schuette, she states that hunting for treasure, made pirates hungry. Imagine your kitchen is a ship's galley and make some pirate treats.

In Summary

Gangplank Dippers
Pizza sauce, mozzarella and breadsticks… Much better than a mouthful of saltwater.

Chocolate Gunpowder
The more gunpowder pirates had, the more they could fire their cannons. This gunpowder recipe looks alike, but do not be fooled, It is a sweet treat, mostly cookies and milk with instant pudding mix and a whipped topping.

Blackbeard's Breakfast
The pirate Blackbeard was known for plundering ships. All you need are waffles, peanut butter and grape jelly.

Parrot Punch
Pirates saw parrots while sailing. All you need are lemonade, pineapple juice and ginger ale mixed to get a feel of the atmosphere.

In Opinion

I personally highlighted recipes to you kids out there, that I think are awesome. The ingredients do not taste yucky. The recipes are easy. The ingredients are not expensive,

I would not lie to you as there is one recipe I do not like called Sea Swords, which calls for tuna, mayonnaise, celery and small fish-shaped crackers. The recipe just does not seem to be good to me, yet I like tuna!

To you pirates reading this cookbook review, the cookbook is not lengthy. But if you would like to have the directions to the above recipes, buying the cookbook is worth it.

I give this book a 5-star rating.
