Experience this year's themed costume party presented by 24 Moon celebrating Tim Burton's films. Enter Tim Burton's wild mind at this cleverly themed party where there will be a night of live performances, music and of cause movies to help celebrate the genius mind of Tim Burton.
After the success of the Tarantino Ball in May, 24 Moons and Sailor Jerry are once again going all out to bring you a night of live performances, music and movies as we celebrate the quirky genius that is Tim Burton. Like Tim Burton's body of work the night will no doubt be filled with quirky gothic characters, some amusing, some a little weird and possible a few characters that hinges on light horror. Therefore to ensure that you blend nicely into the crowd you need to dress up (not that I ever need an excuse to go costume shopping). There is fortunately an array of characters to choose from, maybe for those of you who are in a couple there is the Corpse Bride and Groom duo, for anyone owing a pinstriped suit Beetlejuice is the obvious choice, or possible the iconic Edward Scissorhands – as long as the scissors are blunt please!
On the night Multi-genre engima's 8 Foot Felix will be playing live music including classics from the films, DJs Black Kitty and Mr Sharp will be playing classic alternative, rock and party tunes all night long. The place will be fully themed and decorated to make you feel you are practically in one of Tim Burton's movies.
Be entertained throughout the night with live shows and music. For the daredevils out there feel free to visit the in demon barber for a cut and shave! If you survive that then celebrate with a $5 Beetlejuice shot (beetles optional I'm sure).
Now for those of you who go the extra mile in your costumes you might be successful in winning best dressed! There are some awesome prizes up for grabs for the best dressed male, best dressed female and best dressed couple provided by To Thornbury, Grand Trailer Park Taverna, Dojo Ramen Bar, Pure Indulgence Massage, Edward Scissorhands Barber Shop and Sailor Jerry.. For anyone who is not too sure on where to start with their costume I say watch a few hours of Tim Burton's movies and you'll be inspired I'm sure.. BUT if you still are struggling then pop on down for some professional help at Rose Chong's on Gertrude St where the lovely folks will sort you out and you can even buy your tickets there!
