This tour will take you through the streets where you will hear all about iconic music venues. You will spot where the old Perth Entertainment Centre once stood. You will also discover the ed Parrot, Canterbury Court, Gobbles, Capitol Theatre, and the Embassy Ballroom! There are so many amazing and historical locations that will remind you of the best concerts of yesteryear!
If you love music and history, this is perfect for you. The two-and-a-half-hour tour covers 4.6kms. The headphones feed stories, and of course, the hit songs directly to you as you walk. You are welcome to sing and dance along as you go. You can even share stories with the other people on the tour. Reminisce about the performances and the singers that graced the halls in the past.
Make sure to wear comfy shoes, and bring water and snacks for yourself. There are rest stops, but there is no food or drink provided. This tour is $75 per person. This is a slow-paced walk, everyone can keep up and enjoy themselves as you listen to the best songs that have been heard by the people of Perth. These tours run every Saturday at various times. Usually, the tours start at either 10am or 2:30pm and always start at the Perth Cultural Centre in Northbridge. You can walk while listening to the tour, but it would be far more entertaining for passers-by if you did dance and groove through the streets!
