The Therry Dramatic Society presents Agatha Christie's 'A Murder is Announced '. Come help Miss Marple solve the mystery. The show will premiere at the Arts Theatre on November 4th, playing until November 14th.

Dora Bunner (Bunny) gets up to read the local paper first thing every morning, except today she finds a very strange announcement, noting a murder that evening at 6:15pm at Letitia Blacklock's house, Little Paddocks.

Everyone in the home is frantic but decides it must be a joke, because why would someone announce they are going to murder someone.

That evening, a murder takes place at Little Paddocks. At first the crowd isn't sure if they are part of a murder mystery party, but it turns out someone has indeed been killed.

The victim is Rudi Scherz (Stanley Tuck) who placed the advertisement in the paper, but it is soon revealed that Letitia Blacklock (Nikki Fort) was meant to be the victim and a lot of her guests had motives. But why didn't she die? The clues include Mitzi's death by chocolate cake, Letitia's aspirin tablets, the missing coffee cup, the key and the door that doesn't open

Nikki Fort who played Letitia Blacklock did an amazing job. Anna Pike who played Miss Marple was a stand out character. Her witty remarks and problem-solving skills made it very enjoyable. I loved the silly one-liners by Mitzi (Zoe Dibb) as well.

Starring Laura Antoniazzi as Julia Simmons, Jude Brennan as Dora Bunner, Patrick Clements as Edmund, Zoe Dibb as Mitzi, Lindsay Dunn as Inspector Craddock, Olivia Lilburn as Phillipa Haymes, Carole Middleton as Letitia Blacklock, Melinda Pike as Clara Swettenham, Stanley Tuck as Sargent Mellors and Wesley van Gelderen as Patrick Simmons.

Overall a great play and worth the watch. It's entertaining, funny and will have you at the edge of your seat. Don't miss your chance to see this stage production come to life at the Arts Theatre till November 14th
