A Multitude of Song and Jazz
The beautifully refurbished Sandgate Town Hall is the venue for some great jazz and choral action on Sunday September 20th. The Town Hall is on the corner of Cliff and Seymour Streets, Sandgate.
Multitude Choir and Held to Ransom, with lead vocalist Trina Lincoln, which comprises a 3 piece rhythm section and a 4 piece horn section from The New Groove Jazz Ensemble will combine to present a cool, musical fusion.
The Multitude Choir consists of approximately 25 singers, ranging in age from their 20's to 70's, and rehearse every Thursday night during school terms at Margate. "We are always looking out for people who want to join us" says spokesperson Adele Moy, "Everyone is welcome and no audition or previous experience is required. We love to teach people how to sing with a choir."
It will be the second time that Multitude has performed in Sandgate Town Hall since the restoration and they are enthusiastic about performing there again. Multitude has been regularly performing a contemporary mix of jazz, Broadway, rock, pop and gospel around the Northern Moreton Bay area for eleven years.
It will be a great afternoon's entertainment with tickets at $10 and payable at the door. You don't need to book, so just turn up! If you would like more information phone 0402 121 155.
