It's about this time of year when I stoke up the fire, pull out the knitting needles, and rack up some loyalty points at the local DVD shop. Unlike me, Melbourne is really firing up for some action. There are plenty of major events, stunning and surprising exhibitions in store, for those wanting to get out of their lounge rooms. And the good news is they are all indoors… except the fun run, which wouldn't be much fun if it was.

So there's no excuse for being a couch potato, Melbourne is about to put on a show!
