Flowers for rustic homes have never been this colourful
Unless you have a pollen allergy, you sure must love the look, scent and vibe that a bunch of fresh flowers can add to your home. They can brighten the darkest of corners and give an elegant look to a special occasion.
However, some of us are picky and fussy about flowers; we don't like just the average rose or tulip, we like wild flowers, intricate petals and forest like aromas.
So you may be wondering, where in Adelaide can you buy such a thing that won't cost you the earth?
With so many boutique florists around the place, it is easy to pay over the odds for a bunch of flowers!
Here's the secret: the Southern town of Clarendon has a little local store located on the Main street, and amongst their fresh bread, home made pies and soap blocks, you will find the wildest, most colourful and gorgeous flowers!
These are picked from local gardens and put together simply with a rubber band and cellophane; large bunches are less than $10!
Bunches may not seem as big when you first buy them, but as you unwrap them, they seem to be endless. The flowers last for a long time, if you regularly change their water, and as they are wild flowers they don't look out of place when they become dry.
