The summer production for 2018, presented by Watch This, will be A Little Night Music. It will be staged at The National Theatre Melbourne in St Kilda from 28 February to 3 March, 2018.

Watch This are Australia's first repertory company, featuring the music of Stephen Sondheim. It is inspired by Ingmar Bergman's 1955 film, Smiles of a Summer Night.

Set in Sweden, around 1900, it involves the romantic lives of several couples, including an ageing actress, a married virgin, a sex-starved divinity student and a buffoonish count.

Headlining a stellar ensemble cast are Nadine Garner, John O'May, Jackie Rees, Nelson Gardner, Eddie Muliaumaseali'i. Other actors include Carina Waye, Johanna Allen, Grace O'Donnell-Clancy, Adrian Barila, Anna Francesca Armenia, Kate Louise Macfarlane, Greta Wilkinson, Kerrie Bolton and Raphael Wong.

The musical score includes Weekend In The Country, Liaisons, the ever-popular Send In The Clowns and It Would Have Been Wonderful.

A Little Night Music will be staged for five shows only, including a matinee on 3 March. It will also be staged at Geelong Performing Arts Centre from 22 to 24 February and the Whitehorse Centre from 8-10 March, 2018.
