A Funky Way to Keep the Streets Clean

Have you ever noticed how bins tend to be dirty? Yes, this is because they have rubbish in them. However in some places there are 'clean bins' that are, in fact, so cool that I wanted to share them with you. The ever eclectic and funky Johnston Street / Brunswick Street / Smith Street area has covered their bins with fantastic images that capture your attention, ultimately reminding you to bin your rubbish.






But it doesn't stop there. If the bins are clean and funky, what else can be done? How about a cool ice box?


Perhaps the idea came form the very successful "Boxing In Graffiti" by the Yarra City Council in 2012. Quite a creative solution, the idea gave local artists opportunity for an open air place to showcase their work as well as beautifying 'those grey things'.




Art is everywhere around us. There are 26 of 'those grey things' that now have great art work on them. Can you find them all?
