Gandhi famously said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world".
Organisations like Fair Game embody this statement with their unique programs using sport and fitness to educate and inspire children in remote and underserviced communities to stay active and look after their bodies.
Fair Game is now offering you the chance to make a change in your own life and take part in Perth's first Mega Yoga Fundraising Event 'Wellness Walkabout' on the 6th of October in the awesome new Optus Stadium.
If you have ever been to a yoga class you will know the surreal energy that it emits, people working in tandem towards enlightenment and fitness, now imagine that en masse. A projected 3000 people practising yoga, led by four of Perth's most inspiring yoga teachers to the sounds of Perth's leading DJ, DJShann.
If that wasn't enough to entice you, participants can also enjoy the Health and Wellness Expo and fabulous prizes in the raffle including a dream getaway at Eco Beach Resort, Broome, luxury accommodation at The Westin Perth and a $200 shopping gift card for Claremont Quarter.
Attending this event will also increase your karma balance as 95% of each ticket sold will go directly to support delivery of Fair Game's health and fitness education programs and recycled sports kits to remote and under-serviced communities in WA.
The yoga class itself is for all levels so even if you are a complete beginner what better way to dip your toe into a yoga practice. How many people can say that their first yoga class was on the Field of Play at the Optus Stadium?
The event is being sponsored by athletic apparel company lululemon's 'Here to Be' social impact program and if you book your tickets before the 14th of September you will be entered into a draw to win $500 worth of lululemon products and a two-hour personal styling session with one of their experts.
