Bunyip is a town in Gippsland that is 82 kilometres south-east of Melbourne. The area is surrounded by beautiful forests, features and a range of cafes and shops on a delightful main street. The major road connection is via the Princes Highway.
Bunyip State Falls
If you want a mildly challenging walk through the forest to see those waterfalls, you can do the three-kilometre walk from the Lawson Falls Picnic Ground, but take caution, as it is not that well marked. Here is a more detailed

How to get to Bunyip
Train connections are available from the city to Pakenham. There is a train from there to Pakenham that takes about 15 minutes to Bunyip.
