Beautiful Bunyip is just over an hour away
Bunyip is a town in Gippsland that is 82 kilometres south-east of Melbourne. The area is surrounded by beautiful forests, features and a range of cafes and shops on a delightful main street. The major road connection is via the Princes Highway.

Bunyip State Falls

If you want a mildly challenging walk through the forest to see those waterfalls, you can do the three-kilometre walk from the Lawson Falls Picnic Ground, but take caution, as it is not that well marked. Here is a more detailed guide.
