Chill out these school holidays with A Day On The Ice at Medibank Icehouse on Saturday, 17 January 2015, kicking off at midday.

Medibank Icebank located in Docklands, is Australia's biggest ice sports and entertainment venue, and A Day On The Ice is a chance to experience a jam-packed day of FREE activities and entertainment for all ages.

With free skating lessons, ice sport presentations, under 8's play and the super cool Wonderballz, Medibank Icehouse presents a cracking schedule of fun at A Day On The Ice:

12.00pm: Recreational Skating and Mascots
Skaters can enjoy the lights, sound and fun of skating to the latest cool tunes played by the Medibank Icehouse resident DJ. Mascots Yeti and Skater Dude will be also roaming the venue for meet and greets, photos and games.

12.30pm: Under 8's Ice Play
The Under 8's and parents get to enjoy the ice without having to strap on skates. Ice Ambassadors will be on hand to take the little ones through games using toys music and snow play. Warm clothes (with a fresh set to change into) a must!

1.00pm: FREE Lesson
A 15 minute skating lesson offers basic training for beginners to get to grips with the ice. This is one of many FREE skating lessons offered throughout the day.

1.15pm: Wonderballz
Fun for the bigger kids (age 12 and up). The Wonderballz is an infatable bubble soccer, on ice. Jump inside the Wonderballz and take out your friends in a game of british bulldog or put one into the back of the soccer net. No skates needed for this chilly thrill on ice.

2.00pm: Birthday parties in action.
The coolest party in Melbourne. Birthday parties at Medibank Icehouse offer kids the coolest party in Melbourne; celebrating with their closest friends and family on the ice with their own private host.

2.15pm: Hockey Skills Session
Australia's home grown sports stars and internationals show off their ice hockey skills at the home of AIHL Teams Melbourne Ice and the recently crowned 2014 Goodall Cup Champions, the Melbourne Mustangs.

3.00pm: Speed Skating
Check out Australia's speed skating team cutting some laps of the Henke Rink, reaching speeds of over 50kmh, only inches off the ice.

3.45pm: Curling
See one of the oldest sports in the worlds's action, with curlers sliding a frozen rock down the rink to get the closest to the 'house'. Similar to lawn bowls, bit a little bit cooler!

4.15pm: Figure Skating Exhibition
Australia's top talented figure skaters train right here at Medibank Icehouse such as Olympian Brook-Lee Han, and now you can expericne the skill and finesse on display at the Figure Skating demonstration, later on in the day.
