You'd be off your rocker to miss the 2016 Day on Oak Street! Famous Aussie rock band Mental as Anything will be performing live at the Banksia Reserve, Oak Street, Beaumaris on Sunday 14th February at 11am.

Spreading the love this Valentine's Day, Mental as Anything are headlining this free community concert in support of fundraising efforts by the BSC (Beaumaris Sports Club). Construction is due to commence in May after the Bayside City Council granted a permit for an impressive new clubhouse, combining the Beaumaris cricket, football and tennis clubs.



In addition to some great music, turn out to enjoy the carnival rides. Are you daring enough to challenge the Atomic Drop Slip & Slide, Cup & Saucer, Inflatable Castle, Wipe Out, UFO and Laughing Clowns? Pre-purchased wristbands are being sold for $30 from www.trybooking.com/JVPQ or for $35 on the day.

A Day on Oak Street will also feature a community market, free family entertainment including animal farm, and some delicious refreshment with food and drink vendors on site all day.



But if you'd really like some excitement, why not enter the Mentone Grammar Beauty Sprint. The winner will receive $500! Plus there are iTunes vouchers for each age group winners, sashes and ribbons.

The Beauty Sprint categories are Under 9's to 16 / Open. All welcome. Free entry for age group entrants. $10 entry for Open runners.

Alternatively, register on the day between 9.45am-10.45am. Heats begin at 11am. Finals at 12noon and official presentations will be made at 1.30pm.



A Day on Oak Street is being held at the Banksia Reserve, Oak Street, Beaumaris on Sunday 14th February 2016 from 11am to 6pm.

Entry to this event is Free with surrounding street parking.
