A Coffee and A Yarn Cafe

Imagine a place where you can drink amazing coffee and knit till your hearts content. A Coffee and a Yarn on King St in Newtown allows you to do just that. Complete with a wall of yarn, knitting needles, and even a box of vintage patterns, you can bring your knitting from home or have a browse for something new.

Whilst relearning to knit and rekindling many childhood memories, I was able to enjoy a superb coffee and a delicious bowl of homemade (yes homemade!) chocolate granola. For the coffee lovers among us you can check out the cafe's website, with an entire page dedicated to the mighty brown bean.

My visit was an early morning one and alas, I can't tell you about the sweets, other than to say they looked divine and will need revisiting! They also do light meals, like quiches and salads, the menu prices range from $3 to $7.50.

All I can say ladies (and gentlemen) is for anyone who enjoys catching up with friends for a chat over coffee, why not mix it up a little. Throw in a bit of knitting!

And for those who've never knitted before, or whose memories of the clickety clack are too far gone, A Coffee and A Yarn also offer a range of knitting classes details of which can also be found on their website.
