The Old Bus Depot Markets are popular Sunday markets, held each week at the Old Bus Depot in Kingston. Each year they hold a "Celebration of Wool" market, however it has been so popular in previous years, that it now covers TWO days at the Old Bus Depot Markets. Talk to wool producers, view hand spinning demonstrations, learn about hand felting and watch weaving in action. Winter is the time for knitting scarves, jumpers, beanies and hats and the Celebration of Wool markets will have all your needs covered - from a huge variety of wool to needles and everything in between. Buy wool to make your own creations, or buy woollen products already made - perfect for winter in Canberra!

There will also be Makers' Workshops in crochet and knitting as well as wool demonstrations. Classes will be held in:

•Macrame Workshop with Annette Boyd
•Crochet with Frances from Crocheted w/Love
•Canberra Region Feltmakers Workshop
•The Australian Wool Store: Sock Workshop
•Alpaca Magic: Learn to Needle Felt with Alpaca Fibre
•Hand Twining and String Making with Effie Dee

If that's not enough wool, there will also be Sheep Shearing demonstrations at 10am and 1pm on Saturday 20th May, and 11am and 2pm on Sunday 21st May – perfect for families to enjoy.

See the Old Bus Depot Markets for all the all the details and how to book the Makers' Workshops.
