Richard Weatherly OAM , Australian artist and Ornithologist is a well-known artist, conservationist and innovative farmer. His love of birds and the natural world was fostered during a rural childhood. His passion has seen him travel to 6 continents, observing and documenting wildlife in its natural habitat. Not simply a retrospective, the exhibition also includes stunning new paintings and sketches from Richard's new book, A Brush with Birds , as well as a full repertoire of reproductions, and previous works which have been tightly treasured in collectors' hands over the years.

Encouragement from his family to record the many and varied influences and experiences that shaped his career as an artist-led to Richard's book being published. Not only has it been something of a nostalgic exercise, but it's also allowed him to take people through the evolution of each painting from preliminary sketches to studies, to the final work.

Renowned sculptor Lucy McEachern has a growing reputation both here and internationally, highlighted by her inclusion in the prestigious Leigh Yawkey Woodson Birds in Art Exhibition in Wausau, USA on seven occasions. With a tactile patina that is always impeccably finished, her limited-edition bronze works embrace the characteristics and contours of local birds, highlighting her affinity to life on the land. Lucy was brought up in the South West of Victoria on a farming property and draws inspiration from her rural Australian surroundings.

She has developed a deep affinity with the enchanting birds that dwell in the local landscape. Her tactile sculptures not only capture her subject's individual characteristics but also invites the view to feel its contours in a celebration of their majestic presence. You can find her sculptures in galleries throughout Australia and collections worldwide.
