[ADVERT]The best time to visit South Australia's beautiful Flinders Ranges is in spring, when the temperatures are mild and the wild flowers come out to celebrate the warm weather.

I'm sure that's why so many artists have travelled to the Flinders and drawn inspiration from the rich colours of the outback. And it's no coincidence that the Brush With Art Exhibition is also scheduled for this time.

A Brush With Art is actually a series of fifteen separate exhibitions and workshops at various locations in the Flinders Ranges, and is now in its eighth year. You can download the full program from the website here.

It's a perfect opportunity to combine seeing the timeless and stunning rugged beauty of the Flinders Ranges, while keeping your artistic passions sated too. Who knows, you may feel motivated to express your own creative urges while you engage in a little bushwalking. Even if you don't paint there are many brilliant photo opportunities to be had.

And if you time things right, you could fit in a visit to Beltana's celebrations for the AIM as part of your cultural enrichment trip.
